What is Cellafredda?
Cellafredda is a hybrid photovoltaic module that combines the production of electrical and thermal energy in a single system. Installed behind photovoltaic panels, it integrates a hydraulic circuit that cools the solar cells, improving efficiency and extending their lifespan. At the same time, it recovers the produced heat and makes it available for thermal uses, such as domestic hot water or heating.

Thermal conductive element

Heat absorber
The heat absorber is able to recover over 60% of the generated thermal energy, increasing the module's total efficiency beyond 80% and significantly reducing thermal energy dispersion into the environment

Thermo-reflective insulation
The special thermo-reflective insulation minimizes heat losses
Parallel cooling
The cooling liquid, composed of a mixture of water and glycol, circulates with minimal pressure losses through the parallel circuits of the absorbers, which are in turn connected in parallel between modules through special Plug and Play accessories. This cooling system optimizes the electrical performance of the photovoltaic system, as the modules operate at the same temperature, ensuring uniform efficiency.

CELLAFREDDA modules are equipped with 4-tube heat absorbers that connect to each other up to a maximum of 6 per hydraulic string, both vertically and horizontally, using flexible stainless steel/rubber pipes and quick-connect fittings with double sealing O-ring
